Fallow & Blade Acreage Services (a registered business name of Andrew Farran, ABN 23 291 182 767) is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who else handles it, and your rights in relation to it.

This policy applies to information collected through this website, by email, by phone, and in the course of providing services at your property.

1. Information we collect

We collect personal information that you provide directly to us, including:

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• Your property address and suburb
• Information about your property that you share with us (size, terrain, vegetation, access details)
• Photos or documents you upload or send to us in connection with a quote or job

2. How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

• Respond to enquiries and provide quotes
• Assess your property's boundary and slope before we quote
• Schedule and carry out mowing and maintenance services
• Issue tax invoices and process payments
• Contact you about scheduling, postponements, and follow-up visits
• Improve how we deliver our services

3. Photography and video

We may take photographs and video footage during the course of work on your property. This material may be used on our website, social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook), and in other marketing materials to demonstrate the quality and scope of our work.

We take reasonable care to avoid capturing identifiable images of clients or other individuals. However, property features (including structures, fencing, and landscaping) may be visible in this material.

If you would prefer that photographs or video not be taken on your property, or that material captured on your property not be used publicly, please let us know at or before the site walk. We will record your preference and respect it. This will not affect our willingness to take on your job or the service you receive.

4. How we store and protect your information

Your personal information is stored in our job management system and our accounting system (Xero). It is accessible only to Andrew Farran and to any staff or contractor we engage to carry out work, each of whom signs in with two-step verification and sees only what their role needs. Our systems keep a record of sign-ins and of changes made in our accounting system. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.

We retain client records for a period of 7 years to meet our obligations under Australian taxation law. Enquiry records from prospective clients who do not proceed to a booking are deleted after 12 months.

5. Service providers

We use a small number of service providers to run the business. They handle your information only for the purpose described here:

• Xero (accounting): your name, contact details and billing address, and the quotes and invoices we prepare for you, including any slope assessment we attach.
• Binary Lane (server hosting, in Australia): our job management system, which holds your contact details, property details, job records and photos.
• The Queensland Government's spatial services: we send your property address, or its lot and plan, to look up the property's boundary, aerial imagery and slope. We send no name or contact details.

Xero stores the information it holds for us outside Australia, currently in the United States. The rest of our records are held in Australia.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for marketing purposes.

6. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
• Ask us to delete your information. We will remove it from our job records. Records of quotes, invoices and payments in our accounting system are kept for 7 years, as Australian taxation law requires, and are then deleted.

7. Cookies and analytics

This website does not use analytics or tracking cookies. We do not collect any data about how you browse the site. If we introduce analytics in future, we will update this policy first.
