Client Onboarding Guide
How we work with you, in plain terms, so there are no surprises.
Thank you for engaging Fallow & Blade. This one-pager explains how we work so there are no surprises. If anything here is unclear, call or email and we will walk you through it.
What we do
Specialist acreage maintenance on large and steep properties in Pullenvale and surrounds. We operate a Ventrac 4520P tractor rated for continuous use on slopes up to 30 degrees with dual wheels fitted. Typical work is slope mowing, finish mowing on flatter sections, and vegetation slashing of overgrown areas.
We do not do tree felling, chemical spraying, fencing, earthworks or structural work. If you need any of those, we are happy to point you to operators we trust.
How pricing works
- Day rate: $1,300 + GST per day (up to 7.5 hours on site).
- Half-day rate: $800 + GST per half day (up to 4 hours on site).
- Fuel: charged at cost. We measure the unleaded petrol used on your job and price it at the cheapest local pump price listed that day on the RACQ Queensland fuel price service. The litres and the rate are shown as a separate line on your invoice. When fuel prices fall, so does your fuel line.
- Transport: included in the day rate. We do not charge separately for the fuel used to tow the tractor to your property.
Scheduling and weather
For recurring clients we agree a regular cycle (typically monthly) and book dates in advance. You will get at least 48 hours’ notice of a scheduled visit.
We will not operate on slopes in wet conditions. It is unsafe for us and it tears up your lawn. If the weather turns, we reschedule to the next available dry day and no charge applies for the postponed visit.
What we need from you
Before the first visit, we need you to tell us about anything hidden on the property that we could not see on a walk-through. This matters for your safety and ours, and for avoiding damage to the machinery or to your property. Specifically:
- Obstacles (rocks, concrete, old stumps, steel, fence wire, star pickets)
- Underground services and any point where they rise above ground (power, water, irrigation, sewerage, gas, communications): risers, standpipes, meter boxes, and valve or inspection covers
- Recent excavation, landslips, soft fill, or disturbed ground
- Wet seeps or areas that stay soft even in dry weather
- Areas you do not want serviced (wildlife corridors, garden beds, septic fields)
On service days, please make sure pets are secured and gates are unlocked or codes provided in advance.
Invoicing and payment
Tax invoice emailed on the day of service. Service fee and fuel shown as separate line items, with the fuel litres and the rate applied. Payment is due 7 days from the invoice date. Bank transfer is preferred; other payment methods are shown on the invoice.
Insurance
Public liability cover is maintained at not less than $20 million. Tool and equipment and commercial vehicle cover are also in place. A certificate of currency is available on request.
