Acreage mowing in Brisbane’s western suburbs.
Slope and acreage mowing for large properties on Brisbane’s rural-residential western edge. Based in Pullenvale, working a 20km radius, on ground most operators decline.
The western Brisbane acreage belt
Brisbane’s west holds the city’s main concentration of acreage: large blocks, steep ridges, creek lines, and volcanic rock. It’s the terrain we bought the machine for, and the only area we service. Each suburb has its own page:
If your suburb isn’t listed, see the service area page; we consider jobs just outside the radius case by case.
What the work involves
Most western Brisbane acreage sits between 15 and 25 degrees on the maintained sections, with steeper ground along ridgelines and creek banks. The Ventrac 4520P with dual wheels is rated for continuous operation up to 30 degrees (58% grade), so the slope that stops a zero-turn or a ride-on is ground we plan for, not ground we avoid.
Two decks cover the range of work: the finish mower for grass in good condition, and the Tough Cut deck for coarse growth and woody weeds. An overgrown or fallow block usually needs slashing first; once it’s back under control, a regular mowing cycle keeps it that way.
Every new property starts with a site walk. We assess the gradient, locate rock, note underground services, and agree the approach before the machine comes off the trailer.
Pricing
The rate is published: $1,300 + GST for a day on site, transport included, fuel by the litre. Most 5-acre properties in reasonable condition run less than a full day. Full rate card and an example invoice on the pricing page. No surprises.
